About Us
My primary goal is to teach kids to be safe in the water. On the first day, all students will be expected to put their heads and faces in the water. This step is essential because it is impossible to teach safety without it. No goggles are allowed during lessons for safety reasons. Each student must be able to open their eyes and determine which way is up.
Each lesson consists of 25 minutes of instruction and five minutes of “free time.” If a student is having a difficult day, they may complete the full 30 minutes. Much of what we teach may be new to your child. Some kids struggle with one or more safety elements. However, practicing each skill daily helps them overcome fear and stay safe.
Your child may feel uncomfortable putting their face in the water. It is our job to help them overcome these fears. Watching a scared child can be difficult for parents. However, please remember we are here to help your child become safe and have fun! Swimming is a great activity for all kids, and we want every student to enjoy it safely. All teachers are CPR trained.
About Me
Hello! My Name Is Mindy Aronow.
Swimming is my passion, it has been for most of my life. Growing up I swam in high school and college. After college, I began my professional career as a nurse (40+ Years), but my love for swimming never faded. I started my own swim lesson business 33 years ago because I love teaching kids how to be safe and how to enjoy the sport/activity I love. Throughout the last 33 years I’ve taught thousands and thousands of kids how to swim, many have gone on to swim in high school and college. Along with my own business, I coached swimming for numerous teams for 20 years.
I love working with children and teaching them how to swim. Being safe in the water is incredibly important to me and I’m confident I can teach your child to swim and have fun.
I look forward to working with your child.
